My Pet Blanket Donations

This year I continue to make more Doggie blankets and am donating these to another Animal Rescue Shelter. This one is called "Noah and Friends Animal Sanctuary." Here is their website for you to view. http://www.noahandfriends.homestead.com/

So far I have donated 6 small Cat Blankets and have made 6 more medium size for dogs. I also made a few Dog or Cat Ball's for them to play with. These blankies and balls are made of 100% Acrylic yarn so they are very soft for the animals. It's been a joy making these for homeless animals. They need warmth as they wait for that special owner to come along.

• 1/7/05 ~ Donated 6 Small Snuggles
• 1/27/05 ~ Just finished the 6th Blanket, 2 dog or cat balls. Donated them on 2/1/05.
• 2/9/05 ~ Working on making some "large" Dog Blankets, have finished 2 of them. I so enjoy this!
• 4/7/05 ~ I have finished 6 large dog blankets and one medium size dog blanket and I mailed them off to the rescue center.
• 5/19/05 ~ I am in the process of making more of the small pet blankets because they are easy to make and very "quick" to make. I will be looking for another shelter in the meantime to send them to. I will be making many of them over the summer vacation and sending them off in the early fall just before it starts getting cold. I'll keep you updated regularly.
• 9/12/05 ~ I have found a really great animal shelter who would love to take my small dog blankets. It is located in LaSalle, Il. I have made 4 small dog blankets and hope to have a lot more done by October 1st. I hope to mail them off first part of October. It's so fun!
• 10/15/05 ~ I mailed off 7 small dog blankets to Illinois Valley Animal Rescue. I know the dogs or cats there will love them in the coming winter months.
• 12/10/05 ~ I just received 4 large bags full of donated yarn from my Mother-in-Law and I will continue to make pet blankets for the larger dogs in these shelters. Thank you!!
• 11/27/06 ~ I mailed off a total of 22 Small, medium and large doggie blankets to the Sierra Cares Animal Shelter in Oakhurst, Ca. They were so delighted with the blankets that they emailed me a picture of a kitty cat lying on one of my blankets. I will cherish this picture always. I continue to make more of these as I can.
